Overview:
Job DescriptionThe Vice President Technology is responsible for providing the strategic leadership and management for all JBT Automated Systems technology offerings.
This individual will report directly to the President/AGV with responsibility for all functional areas of solution delivery and deployment, including Requirements, System Design, Software Design, Development, and Enterprise Architecture.
The Vice President Technollogy will play a critical role in the development of the companys holistic business strategy and goals (product roadmap, development, deployment, and strategic M&A), and then lead the processes to align and deliver those business strategies.
The ideal candidate must show a passion for leadership and inspiration in motivating various teams to deliver cohesively and exceptionally on the defined goals.
The candidate should also have a demonstrated product develop expertise in using software to control electromechanical systems

Continue to build technical team to support business product development objectives.
Provide strong daily inspiration, leadership, and management.
Provide technical inspiration and oversight of the development of integrated control systems for mobile robots.
Responsible for all functional areas of solution delivery and deployment, including Requirements, System Design, Software Design, Development, and Enterprise Architecture.
Drive a culture and processes that ensures the appropriate balance in which quality products are produced in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Provide high-level leadership to projects that improve the functionality, reliability, usability, scalability, and security of the companys applications and systems.
Create a strong internal culture to manage projects with accurate estimates and strong communication to stakeholders.
Ensure strong partnerships with internal teams to move forward business capabilities.
Strong focus on customer success, engaging directly with customers and internal teams to ensure product vision meets the needs of all stakeholders.
Ability to engage with strategic partners and develop complementary products that leverage collective capabilities.

Masters or Doctorate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering) from a top school.
Product-focused, entrepreneurial, passionate about creativity.
Previous experience with software development of highly complex imbedded control systems that obtains feedback from sensors to control complex mechanical and electrical systems in real time.
Proven experience with both server and client-side web technologies.
Problem solver with proven debugging and diagnostic skills.
Ability to guide, develop and train software engineers.
Commitment to creativity, innovation, excellence, and great ideas.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
Proven leader of a software and hardware development group in an Executive Role (i.
e.
CTO, Vice President) Extensive experience with Enterprise Web Based Applications, embedded control systems, in a Microsoft development tools environment.
Experience in various software development methodologies.
Minimum of 10 years experience managing technical teams.
Proven ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Deep understanding of various technologies and platforms; including but not limited to Java,.
Net, Javascript, XML, SQLServer, Webservices, Microsoft Embedded, etc.
Strong desire and aptitude to learn the mobile robot business and the automated material handling industry.
Understanding of standards and how to apply them.
