Summary:
The Electrician must have well-rounded industrial electrical skills, and knowledge of set-up and repair of a broad range of production equipment, AC/DC drives PLCs,& relay logicThis position requires troubleshooting skills at the board levelThe wage range for this position is $20 - $35.00 per hour depending on experience levelWilling to train with some experience
Responsibilities:
o Provide electrical support for all equipment and facilitieso Demonstrate skills in all phases of job responsibility including electrical troubleshootingo Self-development and development of interpersonal skillsREQUIREMENTS (Specific knowledge, skills, education, and abilities):
o Experience troubleshooting systems ranging from relay logic to microprocessor-based controlso Knowledge of the NEC and some light electrical construction experience is helpfulo Ability to read, create, and understand electrical schematics is requiredo PC literacy and CAD experience are a pluso Follows all Quad Graphics safety procedureso Performs daily housekeeping functionso Maintains a work-safe environmento Cleans spill immediatelyo Ensures guards are in place at all timeso Ensures electrical covers are in place at all timeso Wears proper hearing protection at all timeso Wears proper safety shoes at all timeso Lifts properlyo Attends monthly Safety Talk department meetingso Can understand HMIS labels and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)o Actively participates in safety programs, policies, and initiativeso Other duties as assignedQualifications o High School diploma or equivalent o 5 years of maintenance experience on presses and folding or similar equipment in an industrial manufacturing settingo Knowledge of diagnosis and repair of machinery electrical controlso The ability to work a 12-hour night shift ( 6 p.m- 6 a.m.) including weekends, and holidays, working 3 - 4 days a week, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and rotating Saturdays.
