Director of Advanced Mobility - MACRO

Position Summary: This position has accountability for developing the strategic view for Macro's role in Advanced Mobility, along with leveraging existing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) projects, capabilities and resources to develop new partnerships, clients and services. Despite the future focus, emphasis will be on identifying material opportunities in the short term to learn and validate early. It is key to attract new and evolving customers, and develop new revenue streams. In addition, there is a key requirement to lead an effective interface with the senior players in the core business to advocate the new strategic direction, engage and align leaders and encourage support from the business. The role holder will need to be customer and commercially focused, connected to emerging automotive, transportation, transportation technology, and consumer trends, to be able to envision and develop new business models and build compelling cases to take projects forward. Technologies include; vehicle-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure technologies, connected vehicle cybersecurity, traffic congestion management systems, mobility-as-a-service (MaaS), Smart City Mobility, and many other related technologies. This person will need to be able to gain respect and trust of his peers and management in order to challenge the status quo in an effective and engaging way, and be able to drive transformative change, be a major thought leader for Macro and Ross & Baruzzini while successfully executing projects and generating revenues. This role will actively be engaged with sponsors, academia, research labs, public agencies, and local governments in the area of Advanced Mobility. Qualifications: All facets of multi-modal transportation and associated technologies including, streets and highways, pedestrians, bicycle and mass transit Detailed knowledge of Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSM&O) activities, including but not limited to: Traffic incident management (TIM) Traffic operations Systems engineering process & ITS architectures Systems and technologies used for freeway, arterial, active traffic, and tunnel management Emerging communications and data processing, analytics, transfer and storage technologies and applications Technology systems, communications infrastructure, video surveillance, and data network engineering Autonomous, electric and shared vehicle programs Techniques for dealing effectively with staff, co-workers, elected officials, stakeholders, consultants, vendors, sponsors, community groups and the public, in person and over the telephone Project management principles and practices Characteristics and issues at local, regional, and government entities as well as non-profit and for-profit organizations Design engineering based on standard practices for highway engineering, Intelligent Transportation Systems design, construction specifications, and bid level documents Cost estimation for planning and bids budgetary purpose Requirements: Minimum fifteen years' experience in Transportation engineering design and consulting or related field Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited program with specialized training in Transportation Expectation of 50% travel (relocation not required). Extended travel on short notice likely, including overseas. Must have passport and able to obtain visas. Required Licenses Certifications, or Registrations: Active PMP, PE and PTOE required Position Specific Responsibilities: Develop and implement a sustainable Advanced Mobility business unit structure within MACRO to accelerate innovation, technologies and workforce development that maximize the combined experience of the group Partner with other Ross & Baruzzini business units, transportation/transit professionals, public and private sector partners, and academia to research leading edge ideas and philosophies to address current and anticipated transportation challenges Develop collaborative, interdependent mobility partnerships with cities, counties, transportationnetwork companies (TNCs), and transportation management associations (TMAs) - supporting and advancing strategic planning for regional transportation goals Facilitates projects, adoption and/or expansion of emerging transportation technologies Generate plans and coordinate with other trades Author project specifications Inspect, review, and prepare site inspectionreports Interact with stakeholders and other designers Oversee the development of CAD/BIM standards and details for Advanced Mobility Assist with training and mentoring of team members Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) checks of projects Attend and support technical societies to build relationships with peers within MACRO, Ross & Baruzzini, and the company's parent company (Dar) oversees Define system requirements and basis-for-design requirements for design-build work Ensure designs meet all applicable codes and safety standards Provide construction cost opinions Field observation and reporting the progress of work Performance Management for staff Provide for training of staff in advanced mobility and highway transportation technologies Assist other international markets with international proposals Develop Advanced Mobility annual business development plan as part of the overall MACRO business development plan Review all contractual documents related to the Advanced Mobility Company-wide Responsibilities: Coordinate project priorities, staff schedules, assignments, time and budgets Engage Clients both in the US and Internationally Plan, organize, develop, and deliver contracts Oversee quality control of developed plans, designs and specifications Develop deep understanding of MACRO and Ross & Baruzzini's services and firm-wide resources Engage in business development and manage sales and revenue targets Company-wide Position Success Factors: Fulfills yearly and quarterly goals Grows the practice strategically Pursues and understands market opportunities to advance market presence Prepares budgets and resource plans

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
